LOcREaDO

Being the founder, creator, owner, director and producer of a Contemeporary company is hard enough, but running a company  from the other side of the world whilst working a full time job is defying the odds –  Loredo Malcom is doing exactly that. Loredo created his company called LOcREaDO in 2006, and hasn’t looked back. At the end of last year after gathering a new team of dancers for his Senior and Junior companies based in Sydney, he received a job offer he could not refuse, touring to Singapore with the cast of ‘Wicked’ as a stage swing, dancer and singer.

Several years ago, juggling two jobs like this would not have been possible but due to technology and his love of dance, it has become a reality. Loredo uses technology such as Skype, Email and Facebook to communicate with his assistants Holly Headrick (Senior Director), Rebecca Nastasi (Juinor director),  Dance assistants Alyse Davies and Jamie Gallardo and a Senior Company  of 18 and a Junior Company of 12 selected elite performers.

Loredo uses Skype to watch rehearsals and communicate notes to the dancers as well as using Facebook to post new videos of his choreography for the dancers to learn. After all of Loredo’s hard work whilst over seas, he will soon return home to prepare his team of dedicated performers for their first performance of the year in May in Sydney, and then to travel on tour with his latest masterpiece 4 ELEMENTS to other capital cities of Australia.

Good luck to everyone involved and congratulations to Loredo.
