Club Dancing Etiquette You Need to Know

Whether it is the first or the nth time you entered a dance club, you need to know the appropriate behaviour to display so the bouncer does not throw you out of the building. Here are some of the things you need to know and internalise for you to have the best experience whenever you are in a dance club.

Good grooming is one of the most important things you need to do even before you leave your house. You need to shower, use deodorant, brush your teeth, and put on nice, clean clothes. Wear decent, casual clothes in dance clubs, as some establishments have strict dress codes that do not allow slippers, sleeveless tops, and the like. You can also wear perfume to attract the opposite sex (or those with the same gender preference as you). If you are the kind of person that perspires a lot, bring a handkerchief with you and use it to wipe sweat in between dancing and sipping your drink. You can also splash some water on your face and use the paper towels in the restroom to feel refreshed.

While you are out on the dance floor, always keep a cordial disposition. If you are a man, never attempt to offend women by trying to get a feel as doing so will only get you into trouble. For a woman, if a man tries to feel you up, ask the guy politely to stop what he is doing or call the attention of the bouncer.
